Dra-Jerns
Chaotic Good
Favored Weapon: Rapier
Domains: Good, Glory (Legend), Liberation (Freedom), Trickery (Thievery)
Known to her followers as the Unseen Hand or Master of Thieves, Dra-Jerns favors charity and kindness in her followers, yet despises humility.
Dogma
Dra-Jerns encourages her followers to steal from the rich and give to the poor, to take pride in their most daring capers in which they were never caught. She also appreciates a degree of pacifism as she believes that the best capers are ones in which no one is hurt.
History
Incomplete.
Relationships
Inter-deity relationships are under construction.
Providence
Dra-Jerns communicates with her followers through visions of treasure maps. Coming across a treasure map or rumors of treasure is generally considered to be a favorable sign from Dra-Jerns though admittedly, many of these opportunities do not pan out. Finding a dagger stabbed into a surface where you didn’t leave it is taken as a sign of disfavor.
Church of Dra-Jerns
The church of Dra-Jerns is less of a church and more of a secret society of thieves who work on an honor system, their rules set by the holy text of Dra-Jerns. True believers cannot be hired but will work with others towards landing a big score, usually for charitable reasons.
Clergy
Many followers of Dra-Jerns are Rogues, Inquisitors, Bards and Vigilantes. Few Clerics exist in the faith and usually are responsible for keeping a location for members of the faith to meet and share stories. These places usually take the form of very exclusive taverns and pleasure houses where members of the clergy may speak freely of their exploits and new capers.
Temples & Shrines
Temples, usually exclusive taverns and brothels, are set in the most unusual places making them difficult to find. The fancy establishments utilize trick doors and hidden passages but once inside or luxurious and raucous. One of the more famous temples is an old ship that had been buried in a forest whose location was passed round via treasure map.
Holy Texts
"Honor Among Thieves" is the only holy text of Dra-Jerns and depicts an extensive and complex, even arbitrary at times, code of conduct for all her followers. For example: if two thieves are in dispute of a potentiel score they must each obtain a chicken and feed it for one day and then place it in a pool of water. Whoever's chicken sinks deepest into the waters without being completely submerged wins the opportunity of the score.
Holidays
There are no holidays set in stone, rather members of the faith celebrate large scores and large acts of charity as they happen.
Favored animals
Gods are often associated with certain animals, either because they possess a quality favored by the god, or because the god's faithful feel a special kinship to them. Dra-Jerns favoured animals are the ferret and raccoon.
