Shade
Chaotic Evil
Favored Weapon: Poison Coated Dagger
Domains: Charm (Lust), Darkness (Night), Death, Evil (Corruption), Trickery (Deception)
Known as the Great Deceiver and the Final Laugh, Shade teaches his followers to kill with words first and a dagger to seal the deed. He favors the Prideful and Wrathful and scorns the Humble and Patient.
Dogma
Nightshade encourages his followers to enjoy each kill as though it were a hunt of some great beast. That playing with your prey can be almost as enjoyable as the kill itself.
History
Slew the First Man, King of Man on the battlefield and stole the heart of the First Woman, Aliania Queen of Man while secretly plotting her demise.
Relationships
After failing to seize control of the kingdom of first men, Shade has taken exceptional care to dispatch soldiers of the Lioness Pride whenever possible, causing an everwiding gap in relations with his former wife, Aliania.
Providence
Shade speaks through shadows and faceless servants that give his most accomplished followers short but clear directions of the will of his will. The sight of a blooming nightshade flower is taken as a sign of favor and that the kill is blessed by the deity, while a wilting nightshade is seen as a sign of disfavor.
Church of Shade
The church of Shade is composed of thieves, assassins, criminals, physicians and those who practice medicine for less than altruistic purposes. The church is commonly known for selling medical supplies, specifically highly overpriced anti-toxins, in temples and alchemist shops. They rotate which kind of poisons they use to make sure that they can keep turning a profit from playing both sides. Those in the know can purchase contracts for assassinations but this is a well hidden facet of the church and finding a broken may be difficult if you don't know what you're looking for.
Clergy
The vast majority of the clergy are Alchemists who tend to the creation and distribution of both poison and anti-toxins within the community. Rangers and Clerics aren't overly common, but Rogues, Vigilante's, and Assassins exist aplenty within the clergy. A common form of worship is to offer a dose of poison to the Shade to bless a kill. Traditionally the dose is placed on a dagger and left overnight in the moonlight. The followers of the Shade hide their skills in combat until it is time to strike and make all attempt to leave no witnesses.
Temples & Shrines
Temples dedicated to Shade are commonly secret chapels to the god of Poisons. These chapels are usually hidden in the basements or rafters of the buildings, containing rows upon rows of daggers adorning the walls with shelves of poisons here and there. Chapels always contain an alter that catches moonlight whether directly, via magic, or more commonly a complex arrangement of mirrors that bring the moons light into the hidden chapel.
Holy Texts
The Shade Almanac contains the many tales of kills and poisons used by the master Shade. Each chapel contains at least one of these holy texts which are not permitted to leave the confines of the chapel.
Holidays
Incomplete.

Gods are often associated with certain animals, either because they possess a quality favored by the god, or because the god's faithful feel a special kinship to them. Shade's favoured animals include mostly venomous snakes.
